Resonant Listening

A practice. Grown out of RelationalUprising.org as a part of their relational storytelling methodology, resonant listening invites listeners to pay attention to somatic points of connection with persons sharing deeply and to reflect those points of connection back to the sharer.  In so doing the sharer is given the affirmation of knowing they are heard and invited to be as present/absent as they want to be before negotiating feedback.

Our conversation partner for the evening, Melvin Bray, uses resonant listening in his work supporting communities to UnLearn InEquity.
